Not to be confused with the Dragon, the Dragon Fish is a Large yellow fish that resembles the head of a dragon, but with fins and a tail. Like the Crystalfish and Goldbeard, it is quite rare and disproportionately valuable, and only one ever spawns at a time. In addition, the time it takes to respawn is rather long.
Location[]
The Dragon Fish is located on the far right side of the coral basin, east of the Coral Reef. It is found at mid-ocean depths, around the same level as the Spinefish school.
Catching Guide[]
The Dragon Fish is a relatively straightforward catch, and like all Large fish it requires large bait.
In Realism mode it will apply continual pull on the line. Sometimes it will dive to snag the line on the sea bed, but other times it will just bob along the water's surface. Luring it close to the boat before hooking it can make the actual process of reeling it in much quicker.
